A vision:

The Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund wants to see that all children are given an opportunity to take classes at a private music school. 

Mission: 

To provide scholarships to Alexandria-area children so they can take private music lessons at any of our partner schools throughout Alexandria, Virginia.

What you need to know:

• Private lessons empower young children to pursue musical aspirations as a singer/songwriter, classical composer or future bass legend.

• Private lessons provide an opportunity for young musicians to improve their skills – to earn promotion from 4th chair to 1st chair in the school band. 

• Private lessons are expensive! A year of once-per-week 30-minute lessons cost about $2300 PLUS the cost of a musical instrument, study materials and accessories.

What we do:

The Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund helps kids!!! We secure donations to fund the cost of music education for low-income children in our community.  We hope you will help.  100% of every dollar we raise goes directly to the scholarships that can be used at the Del Ray School of Music and the Alexandria Music Company, small local music schools Alexandria, Virginia or fundraising efforts. Please join our effort to give every child access to music education.
